About Mind/Body
Health & Wellbeing
Similar to the definition from the World Health Organization, the lifestyle guidance given in the ancient traditions from Yoga Philosophy and Ayurveda, states that a healthy person is not merely without disease, but exhibits a range of symptoms.

"Samadosha, samagnischa samadhatumala kriyaha prasanna atmenindriya manaha swasthya ityabhidheeyate”. ~ Charaka, an Ayurvedic Text

In general, a mind/body approach to wellness seeks to be Aware of self and the daily choices we make, to maintain a dynamic state of wellbeing. In this way, the doshas must be in equilibrium, the digestive fire must be in a balanced state and the tissues (dhatus) and malas (wastes) must work in a normal state. The sensory and motor organs and mind, atma must be also in a pleasant state.
Such a person is called a healthy person or Swastha.
These programs move along the wellness spectrum to build a lifestyle on a foundation of self-informed self-care, aligning daily choices to support our doshas and elevate our vibrational energy and in the way we show up in the world.
